청산도, 밤까지 이어지는 ‘슬로걷기’…별빛·달빛 따라 즐기는 힐링 야간관광 인기

In particular, night programs based on the island’s clean natural environment with minimal artificial lighting are emerging as a new attraction of the festival.

Wando County announced that during the "Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival,” held throughout April, it is operating special programs that allow visitors to enjoy not only daytime canola flower trekking but also the night sky, the sea, and moonlight.
Cheongsando is known for its exceptionally low light pollution, making it an ideal location for stargazing, and it is also well known among professional photographers as a shooting hotspot.

The main night program, "Moonlight Night Walk,” is held every Friday at 6:30 p.m. around the Seopyeonje filming site. Participants can enjoy a unique emotional experience by walking at night with a cultural tourism guide while listening to stories about Cheongsando’s history and heritage.

Another program, "Cheongsando, a Place Full of Stars,” runs until April 26. It is a photo tour that takes place from 1:30 a.m. to 3:00 a.m., allowing participants to observe the Milky Way and take photographs against the backdrop of Cheongsando’s night sky. Visitors can directly experience the quiet early-morning sea and starlight, appreciating the island’s natural beauty.

Both programs require advance reservations, which can be made by adding the KakaoTalk channel "Cheongsando Travel.” The "Moonlight Night Walk” is free of charge, while the "Stars Everywhere Cheongsando” program costs 20,000 KRW. Participation is limited and operates on a first-come, first-served basis, so early registration is required.

A Wando County official stated, "The Cheongsando Slow Walking Festival is continuously strengthening its nighttime content to go beyond daytime tourism and offer a full-day experience,” adding, "We hope visitors will experience another side of Cheongsando through these night programs.”Meanwhile, Wando County is also promoting various tourism support policies, including the "Wando Healing Pay” program, which provides up to 100,000 KRW in travel expense support to attract visitors.

[완도=김은옥 기자] 완도군 청산도가 낮의 유채꽃 풍경을 넘어 밤까지 이어지는 체류형 관광 콘텐츠로 방문객들의 호응을 얻고 있다. 특히 인공조명이 적은 청정 자연환경을 기반으로 한 야간 프로그램이 축제의 새로운 매력으로 떠오르고 있다.완도군은 4월 한 달간 진행되는 ‘청산도 슬로걷기 축제’ 기간 동안 낮 시간대의 유채꽃 트레킹뿐 아니라 밤하늘과 바다, 달빛을 함께 즐길 수 있는 특별 프로그램을 운영하고 있다고 밝혔다.

청산도는 빛 공해가 적어 별 관측이 가능한 최적의 환경을 갖춘 지역으로, 전문 사진작가들 사이에서도 촬영 명소로 알려져 있다.대표 야간 프로그램인 ‘달빛 나이트 워크’는 매주 금요일 오후 6시 30분 서편제 촬영장 일대에서 진행된다. 참가자들은 문화관광해설사와 함께 청산도의 역사와 이야기를 들으며 야간 산책을 즐길 수 있어 색다른 감성을 경험할 수 있다.또 다른 프로그램인 ‘별 볼 일 있는 청산도’는 4월 26일까지 운영되며, 새벽 1시 30분부터 3시까지 청산도의 밤하늘을 배경으로 은하수를 감상하고 사진 촬영을 할 수 있는 포토 투어다. 참가자들은 고요한 새벽 바다와 별빛이 어우러진 장면을 직접 체험하며 청산도만의 자연적 가치를 느낄 수 있다.

두 프로그램 모두 사전 예약제로 운영되며, 참여 신청은 카카오톡 채널 ‘청산도 여행’을 추가해 가능하다. ‘달빛 나이트 워크’는 무료이며, ‘별 볼 일 있는 청산도’는 체험비 2만 원이 부과된다. 특히 선착순으로 마감돼 조기 신청이 요구된다.완도군 관계자는 "청산도 슬로걷기 축제는 낮 중심의 관광을 넘어 밤까지 즐길 수 있는 체류형 콘텐츠를 지속적으로 강화하고 있다”며 "야간 프로그램을 통해 청산도의 또 다른 매력을 경험하길 바란다”고 말했다.한편 완도군은 관광객 유치를 위해 여행 경비를 최대 10만 원까지 지원하는 ‘완도 치유페이’ 등 다양한 관광 활성화 정책도 함께 추진하고 있다.
